Goal planning in health is a process that involves students thinking about their health and their future health and learning ways to motivate themselves to turn their future health into a reality.
The process of goal planning helps students better choose where they would like to see themselves in the future. By knowing precisely what they want to achieve, students know where to concentrate their efforts. Students will also quickly spot the distractions that would otherwise lure them from their course.
Student Health Promotion provides free goal planning to Georgia State University students. Students can schedule a one on one appointment with a health educator and discuss their particular health goals. It’s ok if a student does not know where to begin. The health educator will discuss a variety of options with students and then tailor a goal plan that best suits their individual needs and lifestyle.
