Online Wellness Courses
Georgia State University and the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia (USG) are proud to partner with Vector to offer online education to new students. As part of a comprehensive health and program, Georgia State University expects each incoming student to complete Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates course (SAPU) or Sexual Assault Prevention for Graduate Course (SAPG) and first-year students to also complete AlcoholEDU®.
Access the courses
Students are invited by email to complete the courses. All first year undergraduate students will receive an email following their participation in New Student Orientation. After receiving the email, students can log into the courses (i.e., Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates course (SAPU), AlcoholEDU and/or Sexual Assault Prevention for Graduate Course (SAPG), using the links below. Students will use their Georgia State University campusID and password to register for the course. Students who do not complete the course in one setting can use the links below to complete the course at a later date.
- First Year students are expected to complete Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates course (SAPU) and AlcoholEDU
- Transfer students are expected to complete Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates course (SAPU)
- Graduate and professional students are expected to complete Sexual Assault Prevention for Graduate Course (SAPG)

Completion Deadlines
Georgia State University expects all incoming students to complete Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates course (SAPU) or Sexual Assault Prevention for Graduate Course (SAPG). New students under the age of 23 must also complete AlcoholEDU.
Students Starting Spring 2023:
Part 1 Deadline: February 1, 2023; Part 2 Deadline: April 1, 2023
Please note: Students who miss the Part 1 deadline should finish Part 1 of the required courses as soon as possible. There is a 45-day intersession between Part 1 and 2.
AlcoholEDU
AlcoholEdu provides useful, research-based information to help students make healthy decisions and develop healthy lifestyle habits that will last a lifetime. It’s completely confidential, and individual student responses about alcohol and other drug behavior are not accessible by Georgia State University or any other party.
This course provides students an opportunity to:
- Link choices about drinking to academic and personal success
- Reset unrealistic expectations about the effects of alcohol
- Practice safer decision-making
- Identify ways to create a healthier campus community
Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates course (SAPU) and Sexual Assault Prevention for Graduates course (SAPG)
The Sexual Assault Prevention courses are tailored to their respective audiences and provide information about critical topics affecting college students everywhere — relationship violence, sexual assault, stalking and sexual harassment. It’s designed to help students be a positive influence in addressing the topics in both personal and academic life. Even if a student is not directly impacted by relationship violence, sexual assault, stalking or sexual harassment, chances are most people know someone who is.
This course provides students an opportunity to:
- Identify values influencing relationships and that affect an awareness of and experiences with sexual abuse and violence
- Recognize warning signs of unhealthy relationships and abuse
- Identify gender-based/harmful language and learn how to step in to help
- Recognize when gender-based stereotypes negatively affect perceptions of others
- Identify how to respond if experiencing or witnessing stalking or sexual harassment
- Identify consent as a normal, natural and expected part of healthy communication
- Understand common reactions to trauma
